Top 7 Tools For Creating Great Content Ideas

When I had just started my journey onto the affiliate marketing scene, basically I was always in content creation mode.

My aim was to be continually creating content which is socially engaging, relatable and most importantly readable.

Now, my experience has taught me that an idea or multiple ideas can pave the way for awesome content creation.

So by knowing how much of a struggle it can be, I have created this post to share with you, some of the places where I get my best ideas for content creation.

Learning from the Masters

Fortunately for me, I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate.

There are many videos, blogs and live webinars that are given by (Jay) Magic Studio of AffiliateResources.org and the owners Kyle & Cason.

Which have equipped me with knowledge which was first acted upon, tested and then shared with you guys.

So below are 7 tools I have adopted and currently use to find awesome, high-quality and eye-catching headlines, topics and ideas for every single blog post.

They are:

  • Google Trends
  • Buzzsumo
  • Portent’s Content Idea Generator
  • Youtube
  • Slideshare
  • Social Media
  • Webinars

Google Trends

In June of 2015, Google trends became your all access tool for real-time data.

As creative writers, using Google Trends will provide us with vital information on a fast paced and constantly changing industry.

As our job is to keep up to date with current events in our niche.

So basically you can start to search for trending stories on your specific niche/s.

Using the platform to come up with great content ideas which can be elaborated on to provide some awesome pieces of content.

BuzzSumo

Similar to Google Trends but has a larger arsenal of tools which you can utilise.

Buzzsumo allows you to find the most shared content on any specific topic or domain.

It also allows you to discover what your competitors are having the most success writing about.

Buzzsumo is one of my favourite tools to use and I’m sure it will soon be one of yours soon.

Portent’s Content Idea Generator

In the future, this could possibly be your one stop location for content heading ideas.

It certainly allows me to create headlines for some of my most read articles.

It is just a “fun tool” as described by Magic Studios, to generate creative topic headings backed by logic as you will see if you visit their website.

These topics ideas will often be some you may have never thought of but if elaborated on, could produce very thought provoking and interesting articles.

It is quick, effective and a lot of fun to use and you can often find yourself just amazed at some of the themes that it comes up with.

YouTube

Simply entering your niche in a Youtube search will give you plenty of ideas to choose from.

By providing tonnes of video content on any subject matter.

Simply watching 1 video on my subject matter has provided me with months worth of article writing power.

SlideShare

Slideshare offers tonnes of great powerpoint presentations that you can view online.

Everything is searchable, tonnes of quality content and in the future, it can also be used to market your successful online business.

Social Media

If you are to the point of creating content, I’m guessing that your social media profiles are swamped with information pertaining to your niche.

So upon reading pieces of content written by other experts, you should be able to come up with other great ideas.

I always like to look out for phrases and sentences that I can elaborate on and go into detail with.

It makes you sound very knowledgeable and that is basically your aim, which is to be an authority in whichever niche you choose.

Webinars

If you are interested in making a name for yourself in the affiliate marketing industry then the tools and support at Wealthy Affiliate are second to none.

The tools that you have access to ensure that you never get stuck at any point.

The awesome webinars done by Magic Studios of Affiliateresources.org really are the icing on the cake as he personally gives advice on how to use his webinars to create quality content.
